Traveler: Geneva, Chamonix, Italy

I had an absolutely fabulous spring break in Switzerland and Italy (and a quick day trip to France) almost two weeks ago. The food was incredible -- gruyere cheese fondue in Geneva, as well as mounds of pasta and incredible wines in Italy. The sights were gorgeous -- the tall Jet d'Eau in Geneva, bustling San Marco Square, the Rialto Bridge, and the detailed Duomo in Florence. And of course, it was so great to use my (fairly rusty) French again! Here are a few of my favorite shots - and there were A LOT.

Pinterest Spotlight: Kylea Borges

I'll admit it -- studying abroad has significantly reduced my blogging fervor. But with the city of London (not to mention the entire European continent) at my fingertips for only a few short months, I'm trying to soak up every minute! So please forgive the lack of frequent posting -- I promise I'll be back up to speed when I'm back stateside come summertime. And even more so, I'm thrilled that I'll be back in New York City this summer, so I'll be relocating from one great city to another! Now, onto a new Pinterest Spotlight (previously titled Pinterest of the Week -- but due to sparse posting recently, a renamed title seemed to be in order). Kylea Borges, an artist, illustrator and stylist's 15,000+ pins has taken the spotlight this week.

Whether you're consulting her boards for style inspiration, hostess tips (Par-Tay), or just looking to find beautiful fabrics or patterns (and as always on Pinterest, great recipes), Kylea's pin boards will fill your pinning needs. A few of my personal favorites are T-Shirt Fantastic, making me long for cozy cotton embellished with fun prints and patterns. Her Gold board is filled with anything and everything doused in the bright metallic hues (even an NYT logo!) Not to mention her collection of more unusual boards, like Monster Mash and an entire board dedicated to PIZZA!

Traveler: Copenhagen

During my time in London, I've been lucky enough to have the opportunity to visit several cities so far (and more to come) on the weekends. Last weekend, I ventured up to Scandanavia for a weekend in Copenhagen. It was a really beautiful city, but next time I think I'll hit up Denmark come summertime. Not only while I be able to then visit Tivoli, Copenhagen's amusement park, but also avoid the bitter cold temperatures we faced at the end of February - notice the ice in the canal pictures.

Other than the freezing temps, Copenhagen was an awesome city and perfect for a quick weekend getaway. On Sunday, we even crossed the bridge over into Malmo, Sweden for the day. The people were all tall, blonde and attractive; the shopping was to die for - lots of designer brands, high street chains and eclectic boutiques (the prices, however, were not: the Danish krone is not your friend); and seeing Christiana, the free society, was something out of the 1970s -- at the exit there was a sign saying "you are now entering the EU".

Didn't see any windmills in Amsterdam, but caught one in Sweden!
