Obviously, as a girl under the age of 10 in the 90's, I was obsessed with Lisa Frank. The constant rainbows, the seemingly endless array of colors, the cute cartoon dogs and tigers, combined with some oddly proportioned girls made for the perfect childhood fantasy world, where everything was bright, cute, and colorful.
I was on Twitter a few days ago, and a tweet about Lisa Frank caught my eye - first, I wasn't aware the brand still existed, and second, I hadn't thought about it in forever. According to the Huffington Post, Lisa Frank is still alive and well - and selling clothing. The neon look may be in due to the world's obsession with raves and electronic music concerts, but I don't think this apparel will be catching on in spite of that. Some of my personal favorite looks include a tie dyed 'rainbow' denim skirt, a short sleeved tee with a dolphin design, and a bright pullover fleece. All of these items and more employ what Lisa Frank was known for - too many bright colors in one place.
